I enjoyed the ideas in this post. Sinks in the peninsula work well but stove tops are harder to vent. My own home is from the 70s it never had a peninsula and being l shaped i was able to add a small island 3 x 4 but most kitchens in my neighborhood are u shaped and remodels are often very nicely done with a peninsula.
In many kitchens that have this layout the peninsula serves as a room divider that separates the kitchen from a dining or living room area as seen in this design. A peninsula is basically a connected island converting an l shaped kitchen layout into a horseshoe or u shape. Autoplay when autoplay is enabled a suggested video will automatically play next.

Light tone flooring classic shaker cabinets white marble countertop subway tile backsplash peninsula with under mount sink stainless steel appliances and accessories completes this monochromatic color scheme.
Because islands are independent from the rest of the counter it s easier to install them although that can change if you re choosing to put in a sink or a cooktop. A peninsula can involve a bit more patching and wall work. Kitchen peninsulas and islands run around the same cost although islands might be slightly less.
They can be as small as a butcher block station or three seat peninsula snack bar or as large as an island with a cooktop sink dishwasher and seating for four. Both islands and peninsulas can be built in varied sizes depending on the space available. Its design also increases storage space over that of a u shaped peninsula.
